New Website - Learn 3d Design and Architectural Visualization

Hello loyal followers.  I want to announce that I am launching a new website.  It is called learnArchViz.com and it is completely dedicated to helping the masses to be introduced to 3d design and architectural visualization, or arch viz.  If you have ever wanted to learn how to render in 3dsMax, Vray, or Vray for SketchUp, there should be plenty of info for you there.  There are many courses there ranging from beginner level, to expert.  There are also other resources there that will help on your path to learn architectural visualization.  Check it out, and make sure to bookmark it and tell your friends.  There is much more to come.

Free Models: High Quality

This is one of those things that we seem to always need.  I know there are others available out there from the manufacturer websites, but this is one is built nicer and cleaner than most of those.  Plus, it is free so you have nothing to lose.  Just click on the link below, go to the top of the page where it says file, and then drop down to download and click.  That should give a zipped archive file with everything you need.  This is set up with all Vray materials which work best in a linear workflow setup.  Enjoy.

Recently I have found some really good free models online, mostly of furniture.  Two sites that make great stuff, and give a lot of it away for free are:

Vray + Sketchup Exterior Rendering Tutorial

This guy goes through this project from beginning to end in a long series of videos. He shoes you where to find a bunch of good sketchup models too. This will be a really useful tutorial series for anyone who uses these programs.

A Bunch of Free Textures, Models, HDRIs, Etc.

Accustudio Exchange offers a bunch of free stuff. It is not top quality, but it is a good starting point for a lot of different objects and textures. I actually really like the free HDRIs too. They have worked out good for me.

Lots of Nice 3d Chairs

Steelcase.com has a whole bunch of cool chairs for sale. They offer a lot of them as 3d models as well. They are mostly in .3ds format. Go to the page provided and click on the kind of chair you want. Then search the pictures. When you click on one look for the 3d models option to the right. Enjoy.

Free 3d Models and a good website

I found this site that has a bunch of free models and other cools stuff. There are textures and even some software. Check it out. It is worth it for the models. This cathedral below is just one example of many. It comes with all the textures used. Pretty cool. Here is the link to this cathedral, from there you can explore the rest of the page.
